Hey everyone! I'm back today with another tip for using Google Workspace tools for differentiation.
Yesterday I joined Apps Events for their virtual summit on assessment tools. There were three great sessions. So be sure to watch them all!
Choice boards are a great way to give students different options for showing their learning by offering assessment choices.
Traditionally choice boards give several different activities that students can do to show that they have met a learning objective, and each choice may represent a different learning style or creation method. Activities can honor different learner preferences or even readiness level, but still require students to show mastery of the same standards and objectives.
A lot of you are probably already using these in your classroom. You can easily print out choice boards to use at stations or give one to each student to work on independently.
That works really well, but transforming these into digital boards lets you embed resources and mix digital and traditional pen and paper assessments in one choice board.
In the recorded session below I show you how to create a simple choice board using basic tools in Google Slides.
Check it out and let me know how you're using digital choice boards in your classroom!
