Google Forms for Differentiated Activities

Hey there! Welcome back. This month we are talking about differentiation! Check out the first post in the series here.

Today I want to talk with you about some ways we can leverage the data in Google Forms to differentiate for readiness.

If you are new to Google Forms, you can learn the basics in the Google Workspace Learning Center or over at Flipped Classroom Tutorials.

Google Forms are so easy to use, and once you start leveraging them for assessment, you may never go back!

For me, Google Forms is the perfect tool for formative assessment and quick checks. A Google Form will really never give you everything you need to know about what a student knows or can do the way a long form test, essay, or project will.

BUT, it's perfect for exit tickets and other quick check-ins so you can get a snapshot of student learning DURING the learning process.

I go into all the details around best practices for setting up questions and tips for using the data you collect.

So how are you leveraging data to differentiate for your students? What other tools do you use to gather data about where your students are?

And, BIG NEWS! Differentiation: Meeting Your Students' Needs Online is LIVE and ready to go! If you want to learn more about formative assessment and planning for differentiation take a look!
